With the help of data from the Kepler Space Telescope of the US space agency NASA, a team of scientists has made an important discovery. They have got a system of five twin stars and the special thing is that there is a planet in everyone, where the possibility of life is seen. Scientists at the University of Illinois have explored the possibility of life in space using Kepler data.
The team of scientists decided on the basis of the mass of the two stars, their brightness, and the position of the planets according to the system, how much life is possible on their planets. Here it is seen where there is a possibility of water. This planetary system has an Earth-like star and a small star as well. It is 3970 light-years away from Earth. A planet in the shape of Varuna, revolving around the big star has also been found there.
Researchers have studied the impact of nine systems found in space on the habitable zones of stars and planets. Of these, the system he chose is a Varun-shaped planet. Kepler 34, 35, 38, 64, and 413 were chosen for this. Of these, 38 are believed to be earth-like. The mass of a star is 95 percent of that of the sun and that of a small star is 25 percent of that of the sun. So far a planet has been seen orbiting it, but it is expected that there will be more such planets. What is the difference between more stars? All these systems have such a life-giving region, where the gravity of stars will not be negatively affected. There is a possibility of life on rocky planets here. The orbit of the Earth around the sun is elliptical, giving us almost uniform radiation. This is not the case for planets where there are two suns. Here both radiation and gravity are affected.
Water in a 460 million-year-old meteorite
Another reality of space has been revealed with the five twin suns. Fractions of water have been found in a 460 million-year-old meteorite found on Earth. These rocks, when formed, would have been water and carbon dioxide deposited within the meteorite. This would mean the meteorite would have formed at a place where the temperature was such that water and carbon dioxide froze.
Water or ice has been discovered outside the earth from the moon to Mars. Apart from these, particles of water have also been found inside solid minerals, which indicate the presence of water in history. Similarly, scientists have found water in salt crystals in a meteorite. Once a meteoroid, once part of an asteroid, fell on the earth, scientists studied its fragments and found that the salt found in this meteorite also came from elsewhere.
Dr. Akira Suchiyama, a visiting research professor at Ritsumeikan University in Japan, and his colleagues studied a 460-million-year-old meteorite fragment. Researchers found a calcite crystal that contained a very small amount of liquid and 15 percent carbon dioxide. This confirms that ancient bodies can contain both water and carbon dioxide inside the calcite crystals.
