In India, this Oxford University and AstraZeneca vaccine is being trialed by the Pune Serum Institute of India. Phase 2 and Phase 3 trials have been allowed from India. But stopping trials in the UK has not affected the trial in India in any way. Its trial will continue in India.
“We cannot comment on AstraZeneca’s reports of halting trials in the UK, other than that they have been withheld for review,” said Serum Institute of India, a vaccine-testing company in India that has stopped the trial. That is, the trial of this vaccine has not been stopped in India. The company claims that they have not faced any such bottlenecks, so the human trial will continue. At the same time, the company has made it clear that they will not even comment when the trials are stopped in the UK.
Let us know that a trial of three vaccines against Corona is going on in India, out of which two are indigenous. The first is a vaccine made by Bharat Biotech and ICMR. The second is that of Zydus cedilla.
Both these vaccine’s are in the phase to human trials are going on. At the same time, the third vaccine is from Oxford and Pune’s Serum Institute of India, which has received the approval of Phase 2 and 3.
