Indian Railways, IRCTC: To tackle social distancing and avoid congestion during the festive season, Central Railway has approved the operation of 225 more suburban trains from October 19 in Mumbai. Services of 481 trains are already in operation. In such a situation, after this decision of the railway, a total of 706 trains will start operating every day from Monday onwards.
Employees who are allowed to walk in trains under the services required by the government can travel in these trains. Currently, not all passengers are allowed to travel in these trains.
According to the Central Railway CPRO’s tweet, ‘Central Railway has approved the operation of 225 suburban trains along with the existing 481 trains. A total of 706 trains will be started from 19.10.2020 to the employees notified by the Maharashtra government.
Keeping in mind the festive season, Indian Railways has announced to run three more special trains. North Western Railway has given this gift to the passengers on the occasion of Navratri. These trains will be operated from October 20. Railways has earlier approved the operation of 196 pairs of special trains. The operation of these trains is also starting from October 20.
The new three pair train trains will run on these routes: Bikaner – Delhi Sarai Rohilla – Bikaner Superfast Special train will run daily. Its service will start from October 20. The operation of Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Bikaner Superfast (Train no-02457) is also starting from October 20. Delhi Sarai Rohilla – Jodhpur – Delhi Sarai Rohilla Superfast Special and Jammu Tawi – Ajmer – Jammu Tavi Superfast Special (daily) will run.
