Sabrang, Box Office: Will Ritwik Roshan Be A ‘Fighter’?

Writer-director Siddharth Anand is the producer of this film, whose previous film ‘War’ starring Ritwik Roshan-Tiger Shroff did a turnover of fifty-five million. ‘War’ was first started with the name ‘Fighters’. But the name ‘War’ was released. Now once again, Siddharth has made Ritvik a fighter. However, two ‘fighters’ are being made at this time. Karan Johar is also making Hindi and Telugu films with the name ‘Fighter’, about Vijay Devarakonda.

On Ritwik Roshan’s 47th birthday, writer-director Siddharth Anand started his company Marflix Vision as a producer and announced that Deepika Padukone will play the lead role alongside Ritwik in the company’s debut film ‘Fighter’. This will be Siddharth’s third film with Ritwik after ‘Bang Bang’ and ‘War’. Ritwik had come forward to help Siddharth in the middle of the day when despite being given a hit film, Siddharth was not signed by any Mumbai producer for almost three years.

Siddharth’s grandfather Inderraj Anand wrote the dialogues for the film ‘Ek Duje Ke Liye’. His father Bittu Anand created ‘Emperor’ with Amitabh Bachchan and was directed by Uncle Tinu Anand. Siddharth Mulat is a writer. He was an assistant to Rahul Rawail and the Yash Raj film gave him the chance to direct for the first time by signing for his three films ‘Salaam Namaste’ (2005), ‘Ta Ra Rum Pum’ (2007), ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ (2008) Was.

In 2010, Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Anjana Anjani’ (Ranveer Kapoor) was weak at the box office, but for three years no producer in the Mumbai film industry looked at Siddharth. After all, Hollywood’s Fox Star Studios agreed to bet on him. Released as ‘Bang Bang’, the film did a business of 300 crores.

After getting success, Yash Chopra’s company, which contracted three films, called back Siddharth. The plan was to make Siddharth the third film in the detective series at Yash Raj Films. The first film of the series in Yash Raj was Kabir Khan ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ (2012), starring Salman-Katrina.

The second film ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ was also made in 2017 with the same pair, which was directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The third film Siddharth Anand started with Ritwik Roshan and Tiger Shroff under the name ‘Fighters’ but had to change the title to ‘War’. The 150-crore film ‘War’ was given to Aditya Chopra by doing a turnover of fifty-five hundred crores. It was only after the success of ‘War’ that he decided to become a producer. The film ‘Fighter’, announced by Ritvik-Deepika, is an initiative in this direction.

Like ‘War’, the problem of renaming may also come up again in ‘Fighter’ as a year ago Karan Johar joined hands with Puri Jagannath to bring Telugu film star Vijay Devarkonda from Hindi film to ‘Fighter’. Puri’s Telugu film ‘Pokri’ had ‘Wanted’, ‘Temper’ and ‘Simba’ in Hindi. The shooting of ‘Fighter’ started in Mumbai in January 2020, but due to Corona, its film got hanged.

While Ritwik is a pilot in ‘Fighter’, which is about Ritwik-Deepika, Devarkonda is a boxer in the film. For special action, Devarakonda also went to Taiwan and took training in Martial Arts. Now in both films, one may have to change the title. Since Devarkonda’s ‘Fighter’ had started earlier, it is likely that Siddharth had to change the title of Ritvik’s ‘Fighter’, just as the title of his previous film ‘Fighters’ had to be changed to ‘War’.
