The financial condition of Kamal’s house in Bihar was not good and his father sells tea at the stall to run the family. Kamal Kishor completed his BA from Political Science but he had to leave for a job at the age of 23 to meet the financial needs of the house. In 2003, he started working as a night guard.

A month after his job, he was transferred to the Ambedkar Thought and Social Work Department of Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University. While working there, the idea of ​​studying again came in his mind. In 2008, his post was changed from Night Guard to Peon. After this, he sought permission from the department to pursue further studies and along with it did his MA in 2009.

Ph.D. allowed after 3 years of doing MA

After doing MA, Kishor Mandal expressed his desire to do PhD from the department but reaching PhD was not so easy. He got permission to do PhD but for this Kishor had to wait a long time. In 2012, the department allowed Kishor to pursue PhD studies.

There was no second thought after that. He started his Ph.D. in 2013 and submitted his thesis in 2017. Then in 2019, he was awarded a Ph.D. degree. Kishore used to study in the morning, then do duty during the day and do revision at night.

After their Ph.D., he also cleared the UGC NET exam and along with this Kamal continued his search for jobs. But it is said that luck also helps those who work hard. His wait finally came to an end in 2020.

The college where the peon became a professor in the same

In 2020, Bihar State University Service Commission had issued an advertisement for the recruitment of Assistant Professor posts in the department for which 12 candidates were invited for interview.

Kishor’s hard work challenged fate and he got one of those four posts. But the most important thing is that in the department where he worked as a peon, he was selected as an assistant professor. It was announced to us in May 2022.
